A new season is about to begin...

And my bike is in pieces...WTF!! I finally decided to upgrade my 1999 Norco Team Ti bike. I guess things started to wear down after 6 years. I'm still waiting for stuff to come in through the mail but most of it is here. Lately, I have resorted to hopping in my room just to get around...

But yea... I seriously need to get back into shape. Gone are the days of racing. Perhaps I'll join this year's UofT team and race as part of the alumni.

This was from the 2004 Ontario University's Cup where we raced at Mansfield, Hardwood Hills, Ganaraska and Boler Mountain. We defeated our main rival, Queens, to take the cup for UofT in 2004 but it was their turn in 2005.

4 months later...

Man... I almost forgot about this site...

Turns out I had an interview near the end of November and a second interview in December. Then I got a nice present right before Christmas, I got the job offer (apparently you CAN apply through Workopolis and beat the odds... They must've threw the 200 applications in the air and caught mine). So far I've been working for two months. Seems like a cool job... Get to travel a lot and do some design work.

I took my professor's advice and went on a vacation right after graduating last April. Good thing I did cause it was the only chance we had to take a long term trip. Working kind of gets in the way.

Anyways, here are the pics for our Mech OT5 Rocky Mountain Road Trip. This is my first trip to the rockies and it was planned right before our final exams. We highly recommend this route if you folks are looking to do something similar. Good times... Enjoy!

Finally made my own DIY (do it yourself) Projector...

I wanted to get a regular computer projector but they cost over $1000 and the lamp replacements cost over $300. I don't have that kind of money... So, the solution...

I bought a used 3M 9700 overhead projector and a used 15 inch Samsung LCD panel. Total cost of setup is $200. Bulb replacement is $6...

Initially I was afraid of taking apart the LCD but the only part you have to be careful of is handling the thin glass TFT panel and how to plug back the circuit boards... Putting the projector together was easier than i thought. I left a 1/4 inch gap between the TFT panel and the overhead so the fan can remove the heat so it doesnt damage the TFT. Eventually I'll put smaller case fans or something...

Here is a shot of my bedroom wall... The picture from my desktop I took at Algonquin Park two years ago. This has got to be the cheapest way to go if you want a 5' x 6' home theatre. I was watching LOST two days ago on my wall. Interesting episode too.. I can't get enough of it... I think Sayid is gonna kill Ane...

goodbye camera... (the last picture)

I'm letting go of my D70 to a friend who's moving to Winnipeg tomorrow to start a new life and career. He was looking for a DSLR and I had my eye on the new D200 and I needed to save up for it. Funny how a thing, one of tens of thousands of units made could have so much sentimental value to me... Maybe it's just me... I remember losing a sand bucket at Wasaga beach when I was a kid and I just kept thinking about it for a long time... I guess it's because it was part of the journey even thought it is an object. At least I know it'll be in good hands...
